When it comes to wine, many people aren’t familiar with the Greek way of doing things. Although the Greeks were some of the earliest producers of wine, modern Greek wines have only been introduced to the rest of the world relatively recently.
Here at Legacy in a Glass, we have always been fans of Greek wine and the pure quality that pours out of every bottle. If you’re new to Greek wines, here are some of the top varietals you should know:
- Agiorgitiko
- Assyrtiko
- Athiri
- Malagousia
- Moscofilero
- Roditis
- Xinomavro
Each varietal varies in body and taste, offering something different depending on the type you gravitate towards. To help make it easier to choose the right wine for you, here are a few of our favorite Greek wines from one of our favorite wineries, Monemvasia Winery!
