Bodegas Frutos Villar
Long before the contemporary lines of Spain’s wine regions were drawn, the Frutos Villar family bought and sold wine locally. The family company started its first winery in the Toro region in 1920. Forty years later, it bought a second vineyard in the Cigales region. Today, Bodegas Frutos Villar tends vineyards throughout Spain’s wine country, including in D.O. Ribera del Duero and D.O. Rueda.
Muruve Toro Reserva 2015
From the arid, barren terrain in Spain’s Toro, Frutos Villar’s Muruve Toro Reserva 2015 comes from a region drenched in red wine history. Wines from this region are known for their tannins and color and a tasty palate. The Reserva delivers complex notes of black cherry, espresso, mineral and vanilla flavors and a balanced mouthfeel. With a 14% alcohol content, Muruve Reserva complements roasted meats, game and cured cheeses.
